Credit Unions & Millennium Corporate

Credit unions began as an idealistic, practical experiment with a simple concept – members pool their savings and lend to each other. The Federal Credit Union act, passed in 1934, offered provisions for federal central credit unions to support federal- and state-chartered credit unions.

In November 1951, Kansas Corporate Credit Union was chartered. A milestone act, providing credit unions with a cooperative correspondent ally in the financial services industry. Kansas Corporate served the credit unions of Kansas solely until 2005 when efforts began to promote partnerships outside state boundaries. Credit unions from surrounding areas quickly learned of our commitment to the industry and the value of partnering with Kansas Corporate.

Two mergers followed and Kansas Corporate membership flourished. The first in 2012, with Treasure State Corporate Credit Union in Helena, MT, and the second, in 2015, with Missouri Corporate Credit Union in St. Louis, MO. Through mergers and membership expansion efforts, Millennium Corporate Credit Union has grown to serve hundreds of credit unions in 10 states.

With the growth and expansion into areas outside Kansas, a name that was once so fitting, no longer seemed so. In 2016, Kansas Corporate underwent a rebranding initiative to become Millennium Corporate Credit Union. This new name and brand don’t change who we are or what we believe, it simply reflects who we’ve become and where we’ll go from here.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Member Engagement Representative to join our team. This role is perfect for a professional who thrives in an office setting, enjoys meeting new people, and is passionate about building relationships with current and potential clients. The ideal candidate excels at building relationships and possesses a consultative sales mindset. You will be responsible for understanding member needs, providing exceptional service, and identifying opportunities to deepen our partnerships. Must be comfortable traveling independently, in-state and nationally - up to 40% of hours worked.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prospect and enroll new member credit unions to expand our network.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for growth within existing member relationships.
  • Promote and sell Millennium Corporate's products and services through consultative engagement.
  • Develop and utilize effective marketing plans, sales techniques, and strategies.
  • Proactively engage with members to understand their strategic goals, challenges, and needs.
  • Educate members on Millennium Corporate’s full range of products and services, demonstrating how they can add value to their operations.
  • Coordinate and participate in trade shows and conferences throughout the Midwest.
  • Conduct regular check-ins, business reviews, and product demonstrations with members.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a seamless and positive member experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of all member interactions and sales activities in our CRM system.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a client-facing role such as account management, business development, or sales.
  • Excellent consultative skills with the ability to understand client needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with a passion for helping others succeed.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a high level of organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in or with credit unions is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or a related field.
  • Familiarity with the financial services industry and its products.

Millennium Corporate Credit Union is actively seeking applicants for a Compliance Officer. This position is responsible for the administration and oversight of the organization’s compliance program with a focus on the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Vendor Management, Vendor Risk Management, and Process Risk Management. The ideal candidate will possess strong regulatory knowledge, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to ensure compliance, mitigate risk, and promote a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

Qualified candidates must be dependable; demonstrate professional and courteous service to our members; and work with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must always professionally represent yourself and Millennium Corporate
  • Must be proficient in office software applications - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Must be able to work full-time hours M-F
  • Must be comfortable traveling independently.
