Bonds & Stocks
Stocks held near record highs at the start of a week that will feature a raft of megacap tech earnings and central bank decisions, with the Strait of Hormuz still shut after efforts to resume US-Iran talks stalled. The S&P 500 was little changed. The yield on 10-year Treasuries advanced two basis points to 4.32%.
Economy
The University of Michigan said its measure of consumer sentiment fell to 49.8 in April, its lowest level in 70-plus years. People's assessment of the current state of the economy and their expectations for the future fell, with declines occurring across the board regardless of political affiliation, income, age or education.
World
