President Trump’s unprecedented walk-through of the Federal Reserve’s now-controversial building renovation project with Jerome Powell ended with a sign of relief for the central bank chief who’s been under pressure for months to slash interest rates. There’s “no tension” with Powell, Trump said after the Thursday tour. Investors reacted, sending the dollar higher and gold prices lower.

Thailand's conflict with Cambodia could "potentially develop into a war", according to Acting Prime Minister Wechayachai. Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Manet said his country is ready for a ceasefire, but accused Thailand of backing out of a deal brokered by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. Thailand has evacuated over 130,000 civilians from conflict zones and reported a death toll of 14, with more than three dozen people injured.
