The Wall Street rally sparked by optimism the US and Iran were close to ending their conflict waned as traders awaited confirmation of a deal. The S&P 500 was little changed. The yield on 10-year Treasuries advanced two basis points to 4.48%.

Economy
Weekly applications for unemployment insurance and continuing claims in the US rose, according to latest official data, which Jefferies said largely point to "stable" labor market conditions. For the week through June 6, the seasonally adjusted number of initial claims increased by 4,000 to 229,000.

World
The US and Iran may sign an agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz on the sidelines of the Group of Seven world leaders summit next week, according to senior officials.
