Bonds & Stocks
A decline in oil prices left stocks hovering near their all-time highs as peace talks between the US and Iran showed signs of progress after a rocky start to the negotiations. The S&P 500 rose 0.2%. The yield on 10 year Treasuries advanced four basis points to 4.49%.

Economy
The number of Americans applying for jobless aid fell modestly as layoffs remained in the same historically low range of recent years. U.S. applications for unemployment benefits in the week ending June 13 dropped by 4,000 to 226,000.

Andy Burnham appears set to become the UK’s seventh prime minister in  a decade after Keir Starmer set out a timeline for his own departure and potential rivals backed a quick transition to the popular Manchester politician.
