The 30-year Treasury auction is set to take place on Thursday, with investors watching closely for signs of demand amid concerns over spiraling deficits and the impact of President Trump's tax bill, which by some projections will add trillions of dollars to US budget gaps, potentially requiring more bond issuance to finance the spending.

US firms’ profit margins are higher than during President Trump’s first trade war. Companies in the technology, consumer discretionary, financial and pharmaceutical sectors took advantage of stronger pricing power during the pandemic to expand their margins. We think those firms are well-positioned now to absorb tariff costs.

More than 200 people have been found dead at the crash site of a Boeing 787 Dreamliner operated by Air India that was bound for London. The crash is the worst commercial airline crash since 2014, with Indian Prime Minister calling it "heartbreaking beyond words" and Boeing shares falling as much as 8.7% in premarket US trading.
